Collision Involving a Bicyclist Results in Serious Injuries

November 3, 2011 – When I ride, I always see accidents and close calls. Here is another one. According to reports a bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Lexus. According to the California Highway Patrol that at approximately 12:47 p.m. Thursday a bicyclist was seriously injured when they were struck by a Lexus. The bicyclist was traveling southbound when struck while riding on Santiago Canyon Road at Lomas Peak Road.

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Marc Stone the bicyclist, who was identified as a woman was wearing a helmet at the time she was struck by the Lexus. She was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
According to the California Highway Patrol the driver and passenger in the Lexus remained at the scene of the crash, during the police investigation. I hope she makes it out ok.
