Arright Jimmy. So I was surfing Google today and I finds me this. Fucks sake, these yanks are fuck all crazy and daft sometime mon. On September 14, 2011, according to reports at the bicycle accident lawyers blog, an 85 year old woman crashed through a bicycle shop window Tuesday in Mission Viejo. According to Capt. Marc Stone of the Orange County Fire Authority the accident occurred Tuesday at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the 27800 block of Santa Margarita Parkway in Mission Viejo at the Rock N’ Road Cyclery.

Authorities stated the bike shop had customers and employees in the store when the 85 year old driving a 2001 Cadillac Deville crashed through the front window, traveling through the store and hitting the back wall. According to Lt. Gary Strachan, two people were struck by glass and a third person suffered a minor knee injury, who just had knee surgery. Lt. Strachan said the women and her granddaughter were in the vehicle and uninjured. The woman told investigators she was pulling into a handicapped parking space and accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes. According to Capt. Stone customers and employees were shaken up, but there were no major injuries and there was no major structural damage to the building reported.

Texas roads teach us the importance of sharing the road with bike riders and motorcyclists almost daily. Sadly, both bike and motorcycle injuries are commonplace in Dallas, Fort Worth and other cities, as many car drivers fail to keep a proper look-out for the said bikes. All it takes is one moment of bad timing or decision making to end the life of a motorcyclist, or at least change it forever. A female passenger on a motorcycle was killed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area last week after a collision with a car. Both lights at the intersection in Grapevine, Texas were yellow when the accident occurred. Another woman’s Dodge Charger attempted to turn left while she was westbound on Texas 26 onto Kimball Road when she crashed right into the male driver of the motorcycle and his female passenger. The motorcycle rider in question was flown to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, but his condition is unknown.
The police continue to investigate the collision and why the Dodge driver failed to yield to the motorcycle. It is extremely easy and common for drivers to make left turns into motorcyclists, because those turns require a driver to look extremely carefully. Many drivers simply do not see the motorcycles they turn into, because they unconsciously expect other cars. The name of the victim of this crash has not been released. Her husband’s life will never be the same—injured and grieving at the hospital. The road to recovery and peace is never easy. Dallas personal injury attorneys such as the offices of Regis Mullen and Shane Mullen can help anyone affected by a violent accident. If you or a loved one is injured by the negligent driving of a fellow motorist while traveling on Texas roads, never hesitate to contact a knowledgeable Dallas motorcycle accident attorney
Traffic was diverted for several hours after the wreck. The woman died of her injuries at John Peter Smith Hospital in Forth Worth. The driver of the car, a 20-year old woman, and her two passengers were also injured and taken to local hospitals.

Southern California is known for its heavy traffic, and San Diego is no exception. Drivers on its congested freeways have no doubt either seen or been involved in a traffic accident at some point in time. When most people think of car accidents, they immediately think of “whiplash”. Whiplash is a neck and spine injury that occurs when the head and neck snap backward and forward during an automobile collision. The strain can cause tearing and stretching of the ligaments, muscles, and even of the spine. Symptoms can include neck pain, shooting pains from the neck into the shoulder and arm, dizziness, and swelling.

Whiplash can be misleading as many victims of its injuries don’t realize how badly they’ve been injured immediately. Symptoms can take days to manifest. Some victims will be tempted to refuse medical care or a trip to the hospital believing they are simply sore, only to find later that they are indeed seriously injured. It is vital for someone injured in a car collision to be evaluated in a hospital setting, not just by ambulance technicians. As daunting and expensive as this may seem to some, in the long run it will be the least time consuming and expensive option as long term complications can be even more expensive, if impossible, to remedy as time passes. Immediate action may even save the victim long term complications that can affect the victim’s ability to work and lead his usual lifestyle.

The tearing of the ligaments and muscles in the neck can take a very long time to heal and that healing can be hampered if the patient isn’t under medical care for the resulting inflammation. Permanent nerve damage can even occur. It the accident is due to the negligence of another party, the victim may be worried that the other party’s insurance may leave him with all of the costs of treatment.

As the first hours after an accident are the most important ones, a victim should be able to feel comfortable with receiving the necessary care right away. Calling a personal injury attorney convenient to San Diego can help the victim of a car accident to receive immediate and thorough medical evaluation and treatment in those first crucial hours following the accident. Additionally, they can start the process of a claim against the negligent party in order to receive compensation for other losses that result from the accident.

Many drivers text behind the wheel of their auto, however, such a habit can be dangerous and deadly. According to the Associated Press, the evidence keeps mounting that texting while driving can lead to fatal traffic accidents. A recent fatal auto accident in Omaha, Nebraska was caused by texting distraction. Here in San Jose this is a big issue also with auto drivers. The Omaha driver in question killed two teenage girls, Elizabeth Chadwick and Jessica Weinfurter. Evidence showed that the driver responsible for a fatal car crash was texting in the moment of the accident. He should be denied texting service in my opinion.

In Asheville, North Carolina, a driver admitted in court that he was texting behind the wheel when his truck crashed into a motorcycle. The motorcyclist did not survive the collision. 25 year-old Andrew Watkins was sentenced to two month in jail and two hundred hours of community service for killing 39 year-old Joel Severson. In Michigan 40 year-old J.Joseph received only a month behind bars and a year of probation for causing a collision while talking on a cellphone and killing a 78 year-old grandmother. These dangerous drivers should have received a harsher punishment. A friend of mine who runs a San Jose auto service has told me this kind of thing is not an uncommon occurence at his auto service station, unfortunately.

Many motorists think that using their cellphones wile driving is relatively safe compared with driving while intoxicated. Shocking statistics show that texting while driving is four times more likely to cause an accident than drunk driving. If the driver was under the influence in the time of a fatal accident, he would be sentenced to at least four years in jail. Many people agree that drivers who cause deadly collision while texting should receive much harsher penalties.
