Situated at the top of Shields Road, Byker, in premises previously occupied by Hardisty Cycles, the Newcastle shop is the Bike Co-op's first store in England. Here, we have successfully replicated the Edinburgh Bicycle experience - i.e. the shop offers a world-class range of cycling equipment displayed in a spacious modern retail environment, staffed by informed and involved staff with a passion for bicycling.

Edinburgh Bicycle is a workers' co-op - i.e. the staff own the business, so it's in every staff member's interest to offer you the best possible service.

The staff are a diverse crew. We are variously: off-roaders, roadies, downhillers, triathletes, commuters, time trialists, tourists and single speeders. We are also variously: men, women, single, hitched, parents, teenagers, middle aged.... It therefore comes second nature for us to cater for the whole diverse nation of cyclists.
